Auditory Archive No #01: Can Aksan

The first guest of Auditory Archive, a project that invites you to explore the musical world of those close to vitruta, is Can Aksan.

Living and working between Istanbul and Milan, he studied architecture at Politecnico di Milano before completing his master's degree at the Architectural Association School of Architecture. His work explores the relationship between form and sound, focusing on public spaces and architectural projects while developing interaction-driven design strategies. His installation Empathetic Vibrations
was exhibited under the Atmosphere theme at the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale. In addition to being part of the international multidisciplinary collective Atlr.wan, he is an active member of Food Culture Days.

Can produces music under the name Present Water and collaborates with the Berlin-based record label Verlag. He is also a member of the music collective Sacro Bosco Mediazioni. His involvement spans projects such as Possibility of an Island (AA Visiting School) and Palermo Culture City. Also engaged in academia, a teaching member at Istanbul Bilgi University.

For Auditory Archive, Can has curated a selection that brings together different musical influences: V is composed of deep house and minimal electronic sounds.
