Berlin Living Rooms, Dominique Nabokov
Description
Description
“I knew I would finally have the chance to make Berlin Living Rooms when I received an invitation from the American Academy in Berlin to spend a few months in Berlin. The Berlin of 2014 was nothing like the divided and frayed Berlin of the 1960s and 1970s that I knew.” . It was now a magnificent city where young people from all over the world wanted to move and where many famous artists preferred to work. I embarked on my voyeuristic journey with the enthusiasm and curiosity of a new visitor." — Dominique Nabokov
A close relationship with Dominique Nabokov developed over the years, and this relationship began with the publication of selected interior photographs from his books Paris Living Rooms (2002) and New York Living Rooms (1998) in the 5th issue of the magazine. This project has the privilege of publishing the third part of a project that has been developing for over 20 years, making it the holy trinity of interior photography books.
Berlin Living Rooms includes original photographs by Dominique Nabokov and texts by American novelist Darryl Pinckney and ZEIT magazine editor Christoph Amend.
