From fibers to F-ABRIC

Twenty years after Markus and Lena gave new life to old truck tarpaulins, FREITAG has developed a completely new, biodegradable fabric produced in Europe.

«Do textiles really have to be transported three times around the world before they reach us?»

MARKUS & DANIEL FREITAG

F-ABRIC FROM EUROPE

The materials are made of Modal with fibers such as hemp and flax grown on European soil. These sources are plants that do not harm the soil and do not require excessive amounts of water. Compared to common textile production processes, F-ABRIC's journey from fiber to final product is extremely short because all production stages take place within a 2500 kilometer radius of the FREITAG factory in Zurich.

F-ABRIC IS HEALTHY

For ecological or health reasons, no one wants to wear toxic clothing. That's why as few chemicals as possible are used when growing and processing F-ABRIC, which means F-ABRIC complies with Oeko-Tex® Standard Product Class I – meaning you can even wrap a baby safely.

F-ABRIC IS FACTORY FRIENDLY

A small team of fabric experts was created by FREITAG to develop and design products made from F-ABRIC. Their mission: to develop clothing that met the demands of factory life and looked good at the same time. F-ABRIC was tested by F-Crew for several months for durability, comfort and other features. Results? Very wearable!

F-ABRIC ROT IN PEACE

Those who have to say goodbye to the F-ABRIC product happily for many years can leave it in the compost pile instead of throwing it in the trash. F-ABRIC fabrics are 100% naturally biodegradable, including threads and hems. A garment thus becomes fertile ground for new raw materials, and the cycle continues.
