Things that Go Together by Michael Anastassiades

Published in 2019, this book is the first to celebrate the work of renowned designer Michael Anastassiades. The book is based on an exhibition held that year to explore Anastassiades' approach to design. In the exhibition, objects found by Anastassiades from nature or from his own collections form a harmonious system with each other, creating carefully arranged exhibitions. Along with exhibition photographs, the book contains a series of essays focusing on topics such as Anastassiades' early years in Cyprus, the influence of the natural environment and local artistic figures, people's psychological connection with objects, and form and scale in nature and design. Texts submitted by Alessandro Rabottini, Elena Parpa, Emily King, Mario García Torres, Michael Anastassiades, Yiannis Toumazis and Zoë Ryan. Photos were taken by Osma Harvilahti.
