Opening Ceremony and Vans, two iconic brands that have been continuing their long-standing fashion partnership with their creative collaborations since 2014, have come together again for a new capsule collection.
Continuing their work without slowing down, the duo signed a global collaboration for the first time. This time, the capsule collection will be available not only from Opening Ceremony stores, but also from many contracted sales points all over the world.
Opening Ceremony reinterprets Vans' iconic checkerboard on the Authentic model with two different new patterns. Although the details of the patterns are not obvious from afar, when examined closely, a black leopard figure and an abstract snake figure attract attention.
Opening Ceremony co-founder Humberto Leon states that he loves the snake, both spiritually and physically, and the leopard, similarly, because it is one of the strongest animals in the world.
Leon says that one of the reasons for choosing the snake and tiger figures is to make those who will wear these sneakers feel more predatory and powerful.
The notable sneaker models of the Vans
